We must teach our Robot how to approach the Alien from the edge of the arena without hitting the Alien (to do so might cause an INTERGALACTIC INCIDENT - would the Earth survive?)  Ending up with our Robot's wheels just inside the "polite distance" area marked by the rectangle would be the best result.

One way to do this is to take a length of string and measure the distance from where your Robot starts to where you want the Robot to stop.

Carefully wind the string around the outside of your Robot's wheel, counting the number of times it goes around the wheel. The number of times the string goes around the wheel is the number of times you must tell your Robot to turn its wheels to approach the Alien without hitting it.

You can teach your Robot Ambassador to go forward by adding a motor command:-

The motor command has a command panel like that below (note that your number of rotations may be different).
